Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How are home healthcare services paid for?
A: Best Choice Home Healthcare accepts medicaid, long term care insurance, and private payments. Additionally, we accept Visa and Mastercard. Call Best Choice Home Healthcare and our staff will be happy to help you determine if you are qualified for benefits and the best payment opportunity for you. Q: What kind of assistance is given?
A: The client care coordinators at Best Choice Home Healthcare will meet with the client and/or the clients family in order to structure a plan of care that will best fit the needs of the client. The client care coordinators then determine who the best possible caregiver is for the client and make all necessary introductions to be certain that the client and caregiver are a good fit for each other. Q: What does your agency charge?
A: It varies, depending on the needs of the client. Our client care coordinators design and personalize plans to accommodate any person and then base fees on the extent of the clients needs. Call Best Choice Home Healthcare and our staff will be happy to help you determine a pay structure that best suits your situation. Q: How long has Best Choice Home Healthcare been in business?
A: We have over 25 years of experience in home healthcare and are backed by a corporate structure. Q: How can I trust the person you send to my home?
A: All of our caregivers are fingerprinted for background checks and are CPR certified. Additionally, Best Choice Home Healthcare is licensed, bonded and insured. Further, the owners of Best Choice and the client care coordinators personally make periodic visits to the homes of our clients in order to ensure quality of care and service. Q: When is home care appropriate?
A: Anytime it becomes more comfortable and convenient to receive care in the comfort of your own home. Although we cannot administer medication, we are happy to assist with medication reminders, post operative monitoring and with all activities of daily living (ADL's). Q: I need assistance right away, can you help?
A: Yes, a staff member is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to answer questions and get you the assistance you need right away. Q: Will I always receive the same caregiver?
A: At Best Choice Home Healthcare our client care coordinators are diligent in determining a ‘good fit' between client and caregiver, therefore we do not like to change the client/caregiver dynamic unless absolutely necessary.
Q: I only need help in the morning and again at night. Is it possible to have a split shift or do I have to pay for an entire day?
A: The opportunity for a caregiver to assist in the morning and then again at night is not only possible, but often recommended. At Best Choice Home Healthcare we will do whatever we can to assist you in the most affordable means possible. Q: Some of my needs are medical, can my caregiver assist with these?
A: No, our caregivers are not equipped to handle medical needs. However, more often than not, if you require medical assistance you will also require caregiver assistance. Best Choice Home Healthcare works in tandem with many nursing agencies and can recommend physical therapists, hospice attendants or medical personnel at the clients request.
